Hello Team,

We’re heading into a busy training and refresher season. Please read carefully—lots of important dates are coming up!


🫀 CPR Training

This is our recertification year for CPR. You must complete Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.

  • $20 (HSI) or $30 (Red Cross)
  • Hosted by Bill & Sonja at their home

This is the year when all patrollers must renew CPR. Two class dates remain:

  • Saturday, September 13, 2025 – 10:00 AM
  • Friday, September 26, 2025 – 6:00 PM

⚠️ No additional dates will be added—please plan accordingly!


👩‍🏫 Instructor Refresher

If you’d like to help teach at this year’s refresher, please contact Bill Borelli.

  • Date: Sunday, September 28
  • Location: Borelli home in Mi Wuk
  • Format: 100% scenario-based, as introduced at the ICE event in Sacramento on Sept. 6
  • Pre-Meeting: Zoom session to assign stations prior to the refresher

📚 OET/OEC Instructors

Please check your instructor profile for expiration dates!

  • If you have not attended an Instructor Continuing Education (ICE) event in the last 3 years, you must attend.
  • You also need to complete the online instructor skills review for continuing education.

ICE Event – Sacramento, Saturday, September 6

  • 8:00 AM – Sign-in for OEC (Training begins 9:00 AM)
  • 12:30 PM – Registration for OET (Training begins ~1:30 PM)

🏆 Far West Division Awards Banquet

  • Date: Saturday, September 6
  • Time: 5:00 PM
  • Location: Midtown Marriott, Sacramento
  • Details: No-host bar (cash only) and hors d’oeuvres

🎿 OET Calibrations

If you’d like to instruct refreshers, seniors, or candidates this season, please attend a calibration session:

  • 🗓️ Thursday, September 18 @ 7:00 PM (Zoom)
  • 🗓️ Thursday, September 25 @ 7:00 PM (Zoom)

🔴 Refresher Weekend – October 18 & 19, 2025

Saturday, October 18 – Refresher for both patrollers and hosts (running simultaneously).
⚠️ Complete your online portion before attending.

🎉 Awards Banquet – Saturday night at Mia’s. Sign-up and payment info coming soon—save the date!

Sunday, October 19 – On-hill training day featuring:

  • Lift evacuation
  • Incident reports (lawyer’s perspective)
  • Jake rig practice
  • …and much more!
