Patrol Update: Wrapping Up an Incredible Season
Team,
As the snow begins to disappear and we look back on the winter, I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone for your hard work and dedication. While the season was a bit shorter than we all anticipated, the impact you made on the mountain was as strong as ever.

🏆 Season Recognition: Standout Stars
It is an honor to announce our Paid Patrollers of the Year. These individuals went above and beyond, setting a high bar for all of us.
Paid Rookie of the Year: Jeff Boatman
Jeff hit the ground running this year. Beyond his patrolling duties, he tackled numerous organizational tasks and showed incredible initiative—seeing what needed to be done and doing it without being asked.
Paid Patroller of the Year: Josh Binder
Josh’s “can-do” attitude is infectious. Whether he was on a snowmobile, patrolling, or stepping into his new role as Section Lead, he filled every gap with a positive spirit and total professionalism.
🗳️ Cast Your Vote: Dodge Ridge Awards
We are changing things up this year! We want everyone to have a voice in recognizing excellence on our mountain. Please use the link below to vote for our annual Dodge Ridge Awards.
Deadline: All votes must be submitted by April 15.
Action: Use the link provided in the original email
🗓️ The “Days” Update
We know the early season end left a few of you sweating your numbers. While we don’t have an official statement from management yet, here is the unofficial word: if you were only a day or two short, we are not worried about your days. Currently, 54% of our patrol met their minimum requirement. If you still need a few days, please consider attending Sea Otter!
🚵 Sea Otter Classic: Volunteers Needed
Updated Dates: April 16, 17, 18, and 19
This is a major fundraising event for our patrol; your volunteerism equals direct funding for our gear and operations.
Action: We need your help to make this a success!
Contact: Reach out to William Collins at wfcollins3@att.net.
🍷 Mother Lode Banquet
Mark your calendars for our annual celebration at Stama Winery!
Date: May 16
Location: 17521 N. Davis Road, Lodi, CA
Schedule: * 5:00 PM: No-Host Social Hour
6:00 PM: Dinner
7:00 PM: Award Presentations
Payment: Please Use the Link in the Email
🔧 Nuts & Bolts: Summer Training
The Pacific Northwest is hosting their annual Toboggan Workshop on June 5, 6, and 7. This is a great way to keep your skills sharp during the off-season.

🎖️ Help Wanted: Dodge Awards Advisor
The National Ski Patrol thrives on the 3 R’s: Retention, Recruitment, and Recognition. To ensure our team gets the credit they deserve, we are looking for an Awards Advisor.
Several patrollers have handled this for years and are looking to pass the torch. The role includes:
Nominations: Sending out the end-of-season call for nominations.
Balloting: Creating the official end-of-season ballot based on those nominations.
Banquet: Purchasing awards for our annual banquet.
Regional/National Liaison: Organizing a writing committee to submit our patrollers for Region and National-level awards.
If you are organized and want to help celebrate the achievements of your fellow patrollers, please reach out to me directly as your Patrol Rep.
🏛️ Leadership Opportunities: Board Nominations
Be on the lookout for an email from our Nomination Committee regarding service on the Board. We are looking for dedicated individuals to help shape the future of our patrol. We are looking to fill the following positions:
Treasurer
Secretary
Member Representatives (3 positions available)

Stay safe out there, and thank you for a great year!
