The Ridge Report

Dodge Ridge Ski Patrol Monthly Newsletter | February 2026

Monthly Recognitions

This month, we are celebrating three individuals who consistently show up, serve the mountain, and lead by example. We appreciate your dedication!

  • Mountain Host of the Month: Mim Peterson
Mim has been a standout presence in the base area. She was specifically recognized by guests through Dodge Ridge surveys, where her name appeared on several feedback forms with glowing remarks about her helpfulness.
  • NSP Volly Patroller of the Month: Jared Jepsen
Jared has shown incredible dedication by making patrolling his top priority. From stepping up wherever needed to spending full days in Section 1, his “above and beyond” work ethic is exactly what we strive for.
  • Paid Patroller of the Month: Josh Binder
Josh brings a fantastic energy to the team. He is eager to learn, never shies away from hard work, and is the first to volunteer for a 10-42. His willingness to help wherever needed makes him a huge asset to the hill.

Patrol Operations & Logistics

Staffing & Snow Conditions

With current limited snow, departments are seeing hours cut. However, we still need coverage seven days a week. If you have availability, your presence is greatly appreciated.

Seniors & Candidates

We are still looking to pair Candidates with Seniors for “Senior Days.”

  • Seniors: Please sign up early so Candidates can find you.
  • Candidates: Feel free to email a Senior if you see them on the roster.

Incident Reports (Area 1 Risk Reports)

  • Verify Submission: Ensure your report is fully submitted before you leave for the day.
  • Detail is Key: Write reports detailed enough to serve your memory 10 years from now.
  • Guest Continuity: If you start with a guest, stay with them until they leave the mountain.

A Note of Gratitude

We absolutely appreciate every last one of you. Whether you are checking into your sections or keeping “patroller eyes” on the runs, you make the day better for our paid staff and help build our professional relationships. Thank you for all that you do.

See you on the slopes!
