Hello Dodge Ridge Patrol Family!
As summer winds down, the upcoming season is quickly approaching! First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for your unwavering dedication, time, and service to the National Ski Patrol and Dodge Ridge. Your commitment keeps our mountain safe and our community strong, and we couldn’t do it without you.
Here are a few important updates, upcoming events, and key dates to mark on your calendars:
1. Summer Board Meeting 🗓️
Date & Time: Thursday, August 20 @ 6:30 PM
Location: Zoom
We’ll be gathering virtually to set our annual budget and chart out our plans for the upcoming year. Keep an eye on your inbox—the Zoom link and meeting agenda will be sent out shortly.
2. Far West Division Awards Banquet 🏆
Date: Saturday, September 12
Location: Mid Town Marriott, Sacramento
Tickets: $60 (Now – Aug 7) | $65 (Aug 8 – Aug 31) | $70 (Sept 1+)
It’s time to celebrate! The Dodge Ridge Patrol and our Host Unit—along with several standout members from both teams—are set to do exceptionally well at this year’s division awards. Grab your tickets early to lock in the best rate!
3. OEC Summit & Instructor Refresher đź“‹
Date & Time: Saturday, September 12 | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Mid Town Marriott, Sacramento
Calling all OEC Instructors! This day of continuing education includes an OEC Instructor Refresher. Note: This event is specifically for OEC instructors only.
4. Dodge Ridge Refresher Weekend ⛷️🩺
Dates: Weekend of October 17–18
Saturday, October 17: OEC Refresher (includes a CPR skills station—this year requires CPR skills demonstration only).
Sunday, October 18: Hill-specific training.
5. Annual Dodge Ridge Awards Banquet 🍽️
Date: Saturday, October 17
Location: Mia’s
Join us Saturday evening after the OEC Refresher for our annual awards banquet!
A quick note on pricing: We are still finalizing ticket prices. Last year, patrol dues had to cover a significant portion of the event costs. As we all know, eating out for $20 isn’t really possible anymore (at least for a good meal!), so please be prepared for a modest price increase this year. We appreciate your understanding as we work to host a fantastic evening together!
