Here is the latest news and information for the Dodge Ridge Ski Patrol.


⛷️ Refresher Weekend: A Great Success!

What an amazing job everyone did during our refresher and on-the-hill weekend!

  • Training & Learning: We accomplished so much training and learning. Your dedication and engagement were evident throughout the weekend.
  • Team Spirit: It was truly fun to be together as a team, celebrating each other and our achievements.
  • Awards Banquet: The highlight was certainly the Awards Banquet on Saturday evening, where we recognized the hard work and commitment of our team members.

We are so incredibly proud of every single one of you! Your commitment to safety and excellence ensures a successful season for Dodge Ridge.


⚠️ Action Items if You Missed Refresher Weekend

If you were unable to attend the refresher weekend, please take the following steps immediately to prepare for the season:

  1. Email your current CPR card to me (The newsletter sender).
  2. Email Jules to coordinate your make-up on-the-hill training session.

🗓️ Upcoming Season Information

Opening Day & Sign-Ups

The excitement is building!

  • Opening Day: I will reach out as soon as the official opening date for Dodge Ridge is announced. Keep an eye on your inbox!
  • Sign-Up Process: Once the date is set, we will begin the sign-up process.
    • 36-Hour Rule: Please remember we require you to sign up 36 hours in advance of your shift.
    • Cancellations: If you need to cancel within that 36-hour window, you must email myself, Bruce Simon, and Chris Vasquez.

Target Meetings & Potlucks

This year, we’re making Target Meetings even more fun!

  • Daytime Patrol: The day of the Target Meeting will be a regular ski patrol shift.
  • Potluck Location (Daytime): The potluck will be held during the day at the $7/8$ Shack.
  • Target Meeting (Evening): The Target Meeting will be the evening event.
  • Stay Tuned: Look out for forthcoming announcements regarding themes and food choices for our potlucks.

Come enjoy a great day of patrolling, some delicious food, and an informative evening Target Meeting!

We need your help to ensure smooth coverage during these important events this season. Please mark your calendars and consider signing up for an extra shift!

March 14thOEC MSP (Outdoor Emergency Care Mountain Safety Patrol)Patrollers needed to help both with the event logistics AND to cover the mountain that day.
